If you see the "Unable To Open" error saying that "There was a problem loading the trip. Please try again later." when you are trying to open a trip you have planned, it might be worth trying to redownload the trip data following the steps below.
Why this error? This error may appear if your device was not able to sync your trip successfully and is not sure whether to use your local copy of the trip or the copy on your account. By redownloading the trip data, you force it to use the last successful save and can pick up where you left off.
Redownload Trip Data: Android & Apple
- Open the Trip Planner
- (If you can, sync the trip you plan to redownload)
- Tap "change trip" (or skip to step 3 if you're on the 'My Trips' menu already)
- Tap and hold on the trip that is not loading
- You should see a popup that will allow you to delete and redownload the trip data
Redownload Trip Data: Windows
- Open the Trip Planner
- (If you can, sync the trip you plan to redownload)
- Click "change trip" (or skip to step 3 if you're on the 'My Trips' menu already)
- Right click on the trip that is not loading
- You should see a popup that will allow you to delete and redownload the trip data
