If you see the "Unable To Open" error saying that "There was a problem loading the trip. Please try again later." when you are trying to open a trip you have planned, it might be worth trying to redownload the trip data following the steps below.
Redownload Trip Data: Android & Apple
- Open the Trip Planner
- Tap "change trip" (or skip to step 3 if you're on the 'My Trips' menu already)
- Tap and hold on the trip that is not loading (keep your finger in place for 2-4 seconds)
- A popup titled "Redownload" will appear, prompting you to delete the local content of the trip and redownload the trip data.
- Tap "Redownload"
- When the redownload is complete, tap on the trip you wish to open.
Redownload Trip Data: Windows
- Open the Trip Planner
- Click "change trip" (or skip to step 3 if you're on the 'My Trips' menu already)
- Right click on the trip that is not loading
- A popup titled "Redownload" will appear, prompting you to delete the local content of the trip and redownload the trip data.
- Click "Redownload"
- When the redownload is complete, click on the trip you wish to open.
Why am I getting this error?
This error may appear if your device was not able to sync your trip successfully and is not sure whether to use your local copy of the trip or the copy on your account. By redownloading the trip data, you force it to use the last successful save and can pick up where you left off.
