After you have created or signed into your WikiCamps User Account, you may notice a label beneath your username that reads "email unverified".
This article explains why the unverified label is there and how to resolve it by completing the email verification process.
What does "Unverified" mean?
Put simply, it means our system does not know whether we can contact your email address successfully. The verification process involves following a link sent to your email to verify that we can get in touch with you about your account for support and moderation purposes.
How do I verify my email address?
-
Tap on the home button to open the home menu
-
Tap on the account icon at the top of the home menu to open the account settings page
-
Tap on the 'Verify My Account' button
-
Find the email sent to your User Account email address
-
Follow the link in the email to verify your account online
-
(Note: if you still see the 'unverified' beneath your username, you can tap the 'Verify My Account' button again to finish the process)
Troubleshooting: If you don't see the email in your inbox
- Try checking your junk or spam folder
- Double check that your email address is shown correctly on your WikiCamps account
- Log out, log back in and try again to send a verification email
