Collections are a new feature in WikiCamps which help you plan trips, save memories and personalise your WikiCamps experience.
Favourite Sites
If you had any favourite sites in the old WikiCamps app, you will find these in the "Liked" collection.
What collections are available?
There are five collections in the new WikiCamps app:
- Liked - your "favourite" sites now live here
- Disliked - adding a site to this collection will hide it from the Explore page
- Want to visit - for planning your travel wishlist
- Visited - remember all of the places you've been
- Starred - a category for you to use in whatever way suits your style of travelling
Adding a site to my collections
Found a site you want to a collection?
- Tap the add collection icon (bookmark with a plus on it) on the site overview card OR in the top bar of the site details page
- Select which collection you would like to add the site to.
- Save your selection.
Done! Your site has been added to your collection.
Please note: A site can only be in one collection at a time.
Filtering for sites in my collections
Want to see the sites you've added to a collection?
- Open the filter menu on Explore
- Select which collection (or collections) you would like to view.
- Apply your filters by tapping "Show results".
Your map will now display only the sites which have been added to the selected collection(s).
Viewing sites in my disliked collection
Sites in your disliked collection are hidden from Explore by default. If you want to see the sites in this collection:
- Open the filter menu on Explore
- Check the box to "Include disliked sites".
- Apply your filters by tapping "Show results".
Your map will now display all sites, including those which have been added to your disliked collection.
Removing a site from a collection
No longer want a site in one of your collections?
- Tap the collection icon (bookmark) on the site overview card OR in the top bar of the site details page
- Tap "Clear all" to remove the current selected collection.
- Save your changes
Done! Your site has been removed from your collection.
