What has changed in the new WikiCamps app?

The new WikiCamps app features a navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, making it even easier to move between your trip plan and the map, access the menu and discover the other new capabilities of the ultimate travel companion.

Your "Favourite" and "Disliked" sites have been reimagined in the new WikiCamps! The collections feature introduces more was to categorise sites for your planning, memories and to personalise your WikiCamps experience.
You'll find these collections in the new app:

• Liked - your "favourite" sites now live here
• Disliked - adding a site to this collection will hide it from the Explore page
• Want to visit - for planning your travel wishlist
• Visited - remember all of the places you've been
• Starred - a category for you to use in whatever way suits your style of travelling

We received a lot of feedback about the filters in the old app being confusing and hard to use, so they have been streamlined to make finding the sites you want even easier!
Simply check the box for any site types you want to see and any site features you require.

The new WikiCamps makes exploring easier by reducing on screen clutter. When you view the map, you will see the most popular sites in the displayed area. As you move the map and zoom in or out, the sites displayed will change dynamically to represent what the WikiCamps community loves most in the area you're viewing. A handy count at the bottom of the screen will show how many sites are located in your map area, so you can check if there might be more to see by zooming in.

Please note: This new "map area" feature replaces the sorting pin.

The new WikiCamps list view is always within easy reach of the map and allows you to quickly see all of the sites available in the map area you are looking at.

Searching in the new WikiCamps is no longer limited to 6 results. Find any number of sites using the site name search, or quickly search a city location to view that area on the map!

We've combined ratings and reviews into one easy screen. When you rate a site and provide a review at the same time, they will display together on the reviews page, making it easier to see more information about what other WikiCamps think.

WikiCamps is all about providing helpful information, so we've replaced the old 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down' with 'Helpful' and "Unhelpful'. Now you can react to the reviews, fees and photos you see in WikiCamps that help you most in your travels!

We've redesigned the trip planner to make planning your travels even easier!

• Adding WikiCamps sites or custom places to your trips faster than ever before
• Reorder your trip in dedicated edit mode
• Plan the order of your journey easily with Smart Insert which now uses your arrival date to organise the places you add to your trip.
• Updated routing information will show your travels in better detail than before.
• New icons help represent your custom places and sites you've added from WikiCamps.

All of these features will be available for your new and previously planned trips.

Get everything you need to go offline in one simple download!

You can download the maps, sites and two years worth of reviews, ratings and fees in just a single tap. When you're ready to go off grid, easily toggle the app into the dedicated offline mode from the menu.

At this stage, these features are not available in the new WikiCamps app.
